Recap 2011

It's finally the last minutes of 2011 and what a year (again)!  I'm just so thankful to all my friends & family who have supported me throughout the year...Without them, I would not have the courage and confidence to pursue new ventures!  And of course, a special thanks to all my followers for the continuous feedbacks!

Here are my favourite 2011 ODJ's.  Be assured that even more will come in 2012!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Monochrome Divas

(Harper's Bazaar Mexico December 2011)

The latest Bazaar's Beauty edition features three diva looks for the holidays.  All of them in monochrome palette with intense eyes and lips.  I really all that eye shadow glitters and carbon black lashes, a look that I usually adopt for evenings.

But the degrade glossy lips is definitely something new for me...in fact, I barely ever wear nude lip gloss (too lazy to reapply and hate having hair stuck on my lips altogether!).  One thing for sure, it does look spectacular on print!

Let's Dance!

(Vogue Germany January 2012)

Daga Ziober for Vogue Germany Jan '12 editorial.  Flapper dress just make me want to swing from side to side.  Along with sequin and feather, it's really the perfect outfit combo to celebrate the New Year!

And if any of you are like doing the countdown in a cozy house party atmosphere, just add fringe earrings or scarf.  Enough drama without the comfort of your jeans!

SHOPPING - Trophy

After all the hustle and bustle of Boxing Week shopping, these are the only two pieces that I got for myself!  Even though we are not looking a quantity, we are however definitely looking at quality shopping...I've been looking at the Zara Patchwork Sandals for a long time from the window on Nanjing Rd store in Shanghai, now at $69 instead of $109.  And the French Connection dress was simply surprisingly flattering (with all that draping around the hips) AND cheap!  Only $29 down from $128!!!

So I think I got myself a New Year's Eve outfit here...not bad for under $100 (taxes not included of course...damn Canadian taxes!).

Le Maitre Chocolatier

Yesterday was a full of last minute shopping, high tea and fronting the blazing winter cold!  Obviously, the highlight was high tea at Le Maitre Chocolatier with my son, my mom and my very good friend who all enjoy rich pastries and chocolate as much as I do!!

I loved the tray of specialty tea, which ranged from "Black Yunnan" to "Limoncello"!  Then came the three-tier platter of salty, sweet and scones!  Even my son was not shy to savour a few!

And the whole ambiance is very old English, from the fireplace, to the tea set, to the armchairs!  It was sure a nice break...and I'm mostly thankful that my son didn't cause scene at high tea!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!!

One thing I realized after having a kid is that Christmas is really all about them!  Friends and family who previously would gift to me during the holidays are now only gifting to Ayden...not that I mind at all, because who doesn't want to see a smile on that little bugger?  But this just means it's a whole new ball game in the shopping area (in which I'm just starting to familiarize myself).

So here are some gift ideas (if you manage to score them) for your little ones!
